How to read it

Typical base salary is the middle of the market: half the roles pay more, half pay less. Most roles is the band the middle half of roles fall in, which is a fairer guide than the highest and lowest. The sample label tells you how many roles are behind a figure. Where only a few roles match, we say so, and we include the levels either side so you are not reading too much into three data points.

Pay is base salary only. Equity, bonus and benefits come on top, and a posted range is where an offer starts, not where it has to end. Hiring and want to know where your own offer sits, or looking for your next move? Talk to us, or see how an offer stacks up with Should I Take It?.
