Founding Growth Marketer
$300K–$350K base + 0.8–1% equityThe company is building an all-in-one, AI-native financial platform for software businesses — contracts, billing, invoicing, payments and accounting rebuilt in one platform, with AI agents handling the busywork, replacing the small-business bookkeeper. Founded 2025 by Ian Crosby; raised $10M from Khosla Ventures and Tobi Lütke. Customers: software companies at roughly $100K–$10M revenue without an in-house finance hire. Five paying design partners; public launch in the next 2–3 months. Seven-person team, in person in San Francisco six days a week (flexible hours).
The role: the company's first marketing hire, reporting to the founder. Own all top-of-funnel activity and build the growth strategy from scratch ahead of public launch; build brand awareness in the startup community, especially companies at or near inception; set up partnerships with VCs and accelerators (e.g. YC) so the company becomes their recommended partner; work with the design engineers on website and launch concepts and pass customer insight to product and engineering; work closely with the founder and the new sales team, mentored by the former founding Head of Growth at Deel.
What we're looking for
- •Track record in B2B SaaS growth marketing including building playbooks and the marketing function from scratch
- •Ability to work on-site in San Francisco, CA (6 days/week)
- •5-10 years of experience as a growth marketer in B2B SaaS
- •Experience in marketing leadership roles (Head of Marketing, Head of Growth, Marketing Lead, Founding Growth Marketer)
- •Has designed and executed growth programs across multiple channels from 0->1
- •Scrappy builder who's excited to stand up the marketing function from zero as the first marketing hire
Nice to have
- •Experience with community-led growth or partnership marketing
- •Marketing to startup founders / the YC and VC ecosystem
- •Fintech, finance-ops or accounting software background (e.g. Ramp, Mercury, Stripe, Deel, Carta, Pulley, Brex, Rippling, Gusto, Pilot)
- •Public launch experience and strong design taste
